Rinconcito Guest Activities:

El Reconito “Todo en Poquito” means exactly that. A little of everything is available, and anything is possible. Enjoy a day exploring miles of unspoiled beach atop one of our rental ATV’s, taking a guided hike to the nearby fishing village of Tehua Mixtle, riding horses, snorkling, or booking one of our world class surf casting package vacations. At certain times of the year you can help University of Guadalajara students inventory and protect nested sea turtle eggs and participate in nights releases back to the sea. Of course there’s always just hanging out, enjoying a world class sunset, drinking cold beer or margaritas!

At El Rinconcito You’ll find a whole world to explore...

Swimming, Snorkling, Surfing:

Bring your suit! Swimming and snorkling at the beach is generally fine but recommended for strong swimmers only when rough. The bay at TehuaMixtle, about five minute’s drive south is calm year round. Some young bucks have been surfing Mayto’s one small break, but the closest decent surf is about 1/2 hour south at Playa Peñitas.

Turtle Camp: The University of Guadalajara Turtle Research station encourages participation from night patrols to release of baby turtles at dusk.

Ranch/Sustainability Tours: Contact Rancho Sol y Mar for personal tours of the ranch. Milk a goat, learn about solar electric, water pumping, adobe construction, etc.
